At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so beg the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38
Jesus asked us to pray for one thing in particular, “laborers for his harvest,” and it is in response to this request that we are excited to announce the Ohio statewide Adoration for Vocations on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 all day long. We are beginning to recruit parishes from all over the state of Ohio, with at least one parish in each deanery of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, to agree to open their doors to all who want to join in simultaneous prayer for vocations.
Here is a map of all the parishes across the state of Ohio who participated in praying for vocations last year!
We welcome all parishes to become host parishes for this grace-filled evening! If you would like your parish to become a host parish, please contact us at 513-421-3131 x.2891.
We will mail to each of the host parishes, the model we recommend for prayer during your holy hour or you may also want to follow this model. We encourage pastors to adapt one of these or another holy hour format to fit the needs of his particular parish/school.
