Where are you currently studying? This year I am serving as an intern at St. Lawrence in Cincinnati, OH.
How big is your family? Where do you fit in? My parents had eight children, and I was the fifth.
What particular devotion(s) do you find helpful in your discernment? My devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Blessed Sacrament are the most helpful of my devotions in my discernment.
What is it like living in the seminary? It is very enjoyable. I feel very much at home, but that doesn’t mean there are not difficult times as well.
What do you do for fun? I play almost any sport for recreation, many board games, and also some video games.
What is the hardest part of being in the seminary? The hardest aspect of being a seminarian is formation. It takes a lot of your attention to commit yourself to your formation.
Who is your favorite saint? Why? My favorite saint is Maximilian Kolbe mainly because of his amazing story in Auschwitz, but also because of his strong devotion to Mary.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the priesthood? I would suggest that you pray about it, a lot. When the time comes, if you are still thinking about priesthood, enter seminary. Whether you become a priest or not, the time will have been worth it in whatever you do.
