Name: K. Scott Morgan
Home Parish: Immaculate Heart of Mary, Anderson Township, OH
When did you enter Seminary? Fall 2011 (I became a seminarian for the Archdiocese in the Fall of 2015.)
What is your expected ordination year? 2021
Where are you currently studying? Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West, Cincinnati, OH
What are your favorite things to do? In my free time I enjoy going to movies, reading, going on Rosary walks, and spending time with friends and family.
Do you struggle in your prayer life? If so, how do you respond to that struggle? Some days for prayer are better than others. It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks of studying, etc and neglect prayer. When prayer gets tough, I talk to my spiritual director and make sure to do a holy hour; I give my struggles to Jesus, and ask the Blessed Mother to pray for me and help me stay close to her son.
Why did you enter seminary? I entered seminary because I felt called by God to do something more. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else other than being a priest. Nothing that I was doing could give me the satisfaction, joy and peace that pursuing priesthood brings. I had and still have a great desire to bring Jesus to others, and believe that I am called to do that through the ministry of the priest, which ultimately is what has brought me to the seminary.
