When did you enter Seminary? Fall 2013
What is your expected ordination year? 2022
Where are you currently studying? Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West, Cincinnati, OH
What are some of your favorite things to do? My favorites things to do are reading, hiking, playing cards, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends.
Do you struggle in your prayer life? If so, how do you respond to that struggle? My prayer and spiritual life frequently involves many struggles. There are times when prayer for me becomes very “dry” or I do not have the zeal to pray. I respond to this struggle by sitting quietly by myself. It has often been said that practice makes perfect. I have found that this also rings true for my spiritual life. The more habitual I make prayer, the easier it becomes to overcome the struggle.
Why did you enter seminary? I entered seminary because I felt that was where the Lord was calling me to take the next step in my discernment. I was unsure of Our Lord’s Will for me in my life. In the end, I knew that by only “trying out” seminary, would I truly know my vocation – with no future regrets. Thus, for me the seminary serves as a place where I am able to further discern the deeper meanings of the human heart.
