How did your family and friends react when you made that decision? Are they supportive now? They have been supportive from the beginning; I’ve talked about it since I was 11 or 12.
Who/what influenced your decision to enter the seminary? My family had always been behind me, but I had a few friends who really pushed me into thinking about it, a few were former seminarians and some are now priests.
What do you do for fun? At the seminary I enjoy playing cards and pool, just hanging out with other seminarians.
Who is your favorite saint? Why? I really enjoy Saint Augustine’s conversion story. He was the complete opposite of what Christians were to be and the Lord works in mysterious ways, and when he was called he answered full heartily and became a great icon for the Church.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the priesthood? You cannot fail, take the chance when you can and hope for the best, discernment really starts here.
