Today is the second day on in our novena for the men about to be ordained to the priesthood on May 16th by Archbishop Dennis Schnurr in a private mass that will be publicly available via livestream at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati website. Please keep these men in your prayers:

Deacon Novena: Day 9

On Saturday, April 25th, the Archdiocese will celebrate the ordination of 10 men to the diaconate (7 men for the Archdiocese as transitional deacons, one as a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese, and 2 for the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Cincinnati) in a closed Mass celebrated by Archbishop Schnurr. While the public will not be able to participate in the Mass, please join us in praying for Jim Niswonger of St. Boniface/St. Mary, Piqua, and his classmates as they enter their final days of preparation for their ordination.

Jim will be ordained a permanent deacon while the following men will be ordained transitional deacons (meaning this is a final step toward their ordination to the priesthood):

  • Mr. Aaron Hess of St. Mary, Philothea
  • Mr. Edward Hoffman of Sacred Heart, Cincinnati
  • Mr. Louis Jacquemin of St. Anne, Hamilton
  • Mr. Michael Kapolka of St. Luke, Beavercreek
  • Mr. Anthony Marcelli of St. Bernadette, Amelia 
  • Mr. Scott Morgan of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Anderson Township
  • Mr. Elijah Puthoff of St. Remy, Russia
  • Br. Henry Hoffmann of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri, Cincinnati
  • Br. Brent Stull of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri, Cincinnati
