Upcoming Events

The following is a list of all the religious vocation-related upcoming events happening in and around the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Thanks goes to the Serra Club of Greater Cincinnati [1] for their efforts at collecting all the information for these events:

Spiritual Motherhood of Priests
Our parish is joining all the parishes across the Archdiocese in launching a new prayer apostolate that encourages women to consider becoming a spiritual mother to one priest or seminarian of our Archdiocese. Prayer for priests and seminarians has been proven to be effective throughout the history of the Church and we would like all the women of the parish to consider signing their name to the poster located in the vestibule and taking a packet of materials to begin praying for your new spiritual son. For more information about this apostolate please visit cincinnativocations.org/spiritual-motherhood-of-priests. [2]

May 5: Holy Hour for Vocations at the Seminary
The seminarians at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West invite all to join in the last Holy Hour for Vocations of the school year as they conclude another year of discernment and study and look forward to the celebration of the ordination to the priesthood of 14 of their brothers. Come pray from 5-6pm followed by social time with the seminarians.

May 6: Server Recognition Reds Game 2019 [3]
The Serra Club of Cincinnati is once again partnering with the Cincinnati Reds to provide an affordable way to recognize the great service to the Church of all our altar servers and sacristans. Please see the flyer linked above for more information and to order tickets.

May 18: Priesthood Ordination
Archbishop Schnurr will ordain a historic number of priests on Saturday, May 18th at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains. The nine men being ordained marks the largest class in more than 40 years. Please consider witnessing this special occasion in person or joining us in prayer as these men begin their life of priestly service. A list of the men being ordained along with their pictures can be found here [4].
