Vocations committees often seek supplies to aid their efforts in identifying and encouraging young men to consider priesthood. The Vocations Office for the Archdiocese does provide some supplies. Other items can be obtained from outside organizations, companies and publishers. Listed below are several sources.

SERRA Club
Named after St. Junipero Serra, the SERRA club is an international organization devoted to promotion of vocations to priesthood and religious life. SERRA clubs have regular meetings, give vocation talks at schools and distribute vocation materials (check out http://www.serraus.org/resources/catalog.htm#Programs_Materials for more info). Knights of Columbus
The K of C sends out (for free) a wonderful packet of vocation posters, prayer cards and pamphlets when you send a request to: Knights of Columbus Supreme Office, Vocations Office, 1 Columbus Plaza, New Haven, CT 06510, 203-752-4267. Some items are available in French and Spanish.

LifeWork Press
Numerous books/videos on Vocation Discernment (including the excellent video “Completely Christ’s”) are for sale from LifeWork Press, P.O. Box 27738, Fresno, CA 93729-7738, or go to www.lifeworkpress.com, 888-297-4300.

Institute on Religious Life
The IRL hosts national and regional gatherings of religious orders, publishes Religious Life magazine and supports vocation discernment. Local Catholic Bookstore

St. John Vianney Society
A Dayton-based group of Catholics who neither meet nor pay dues, they simply promise to pray each day for vocations. Their wonderful prayer guides can be obtained by contacting Michael Goetz, 517 Rustic Trail, Beavercreek, OH 45434. To help cover printing/mailing costs, please send $1 per prayer book (if ordering multiple copies).
