VIS news – Holy See Press Office: POPE BEGINS SERIES OF CATECHESES ON CHRISTIAN PRAYER.

Could this Pope possibly get any better?

His catechesis on the saints were fantastic, and reading through Jesus of Nazareth (vols I and II) and his encyclicals and other writings, he is obviously a man of prayer.  Now, he’s going to focus on this even more!

I. Am. Excited!

Prayer, after all, is how one is formed as a committed disciple of Christ.  Prayer is the secret to hearing that call of the Lord to ‘go, sell what you have, give to the poor, and come, follow me.’

Not that we are trying to compete with the Pope, but for more on prayer, see last year’s Archdiocese of Cincinnati Vocation Awareness Week Materials.
